Staffing Direct got a contract to train 80 EPWP employees hosted by Wildlands in Kokstad.

Phendula Training and Consulting was awarded a contract by Staffing Direct to supply services of Facilitation for the project. Phendula provided 2 Facilitators.

The 20 – day training covered the following topics:-

1.    Comply with good housekeeping practices                                    NQF L2

2.    Create a guided experience for customers                                      NQF L2

3.    Maintain Health, Hygiene and a Professional Appearance        NQF L2

4.    Maintain hygiene in Food preparation, cooking and storage    NQF L2

5.    Prepare Vegetables for hot and cold dishes                                 NQF L2

6.    Prepare Fruit for hot and cold dishes                                            NQF L2

7.    Prepare to boil, poach or steam foods                                          NQF L2

8.    Prepare and finish reconstituted food                                           NQF L2

Towards the end of the training (for 2 days) participants were assessed by 2 experienced Chefs and got practical cooking lessons to add value on the theory learnt.
